Today we're going to take a look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. This has electric and heat functions with the signal built in, and it comes in textured black for the driver's side.This is going to be that direct replacement mirror for our vehicle. This is going to fit the 2012 to 2014 Volkswagen Beetle Coupe, so if that's your vehicle, this is going to work out just fine.It is going to have the same look and fit as our original mirror. We're just going to mount that up using the original hardware. It's going to have that same footprint, so whenever you go to take off your old mirror, this is just going to mount up using all of that same hardware and fit right in.The wiring will plug right into your vehicle's existing wiring, so it's just a easy plug in application. There's no drilling or any splicing required, just plug and play, really easy to put into your vehicle.It does have remote capabilities, so that means that you can adjust the mirror face position from the inside of your vehicle using the little dial on the side of your vehicle there.

It also has the heated mirror glass, so that's, of course, going to help to clear away any frost or maybe rain or fog or anything that might be on our mirror glass that we want to evaporate away with that heat function.It also has the amber light on the back, so we can signal to other drivers that we're changing lanes. The glass, again, is also going to have that OE grade flat glass, so that just means that it's going to have a clear image that's going to reflect a true representation of whatever's behind you.In this case, you're getting to see a little look at the studio here, but there's no distortion with this mirror since it has that flat glass. There's no convex or concave bend to it, so it's going to, again, reflect that true representation of what's behind you.It does have a breakaway design, so as you can see, at the bottom there, we'll have our little cut out, so that we can fold this in if we're in a tight quarter situation, maybe on a narrow street, or pulling into the tight garage or anything like that. It's a little hard to show that just sitting on the table, but whenever you have it on your car, that will just pop away into that breakaway position.The housing is going to be made of a durable plastic. This does have a, just black finish.

This can be painted though to match your vehicle. Again, this is just going to be an easy, no drill installation, just plus right into your wiring, uses all that same hardware. Now, something to keep in mind with this is that this wiring can extend the heated function, the light, all those things. If your vehicle didn't have those originally, this isn't going to provide those new connections. This is just to replace your existing mirror with all those same functions, so this isn't an upgrade for your car.If you didn't have a heated mirror before, by using this one, it's not going to give you a heated mirror if that makes sense.
